A Prayer for Mercy

May my sinful heart finds solace in your mercy

May it be made worthy of your infatuating love

And if that may be, only by sweet suffering, in your name,

Then use it to erase my faults from your heart.

So I may finally find peace and joy in you.

My soul lies unworthily before you,

Speckled with faults that bring me to my unending misery

Tell me how to mend my broken self

I find it hard most days to strengthen my eyes to look my mistakes in the eye

And fix them.
